Flint Hills Resources is looking for a Damage Prevention Coordinator in the Cottage Grove, MN/Northern Operations area.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work with little direct supervision who has a strong customer focus. 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Effectively locate and mark the underground location of our pipelines and other assets (i.e. electrical conduit, cables) in the Cottage Grove, MN area
  • Follow all procedures to ensure FHR asset integrity during foreign line crossings, effectively interpreting/complying with applicable state one-call law requirements and one-call ticket responsibilities and effectively documenting all activities surrounding ticket/work activities
  • Successful candidates must be able to read and interpret drawings, maps and install permanent markers and signs in right-of-way areas when necessary 
  • Promote pipeline safety and safe digging practices, this includes, but is not limited to, communicating with excavators, landowners, and emergency response officials 

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience reading and interpreting maps and drawings 
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be able to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency response
  • Two-year technical (mechanical or electrical) degree OR one year of relevant field experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel
  • Must be able to wear PPE in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, fire retardant clothing, heeled safety-toed boots, etc.)
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to work in hot, cold or inclement climate conditions (outdoor conditions)
  • Ability to work overtime as needed


What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of pipeline operations experience
  • One year of relevant field experience in an electrical or mechanical role
  • Six months of work experience damage prevention or underground line locating
