Assistant Clean Up Technician – Hattiesburg, MS

Our Georgia-Pacific, SPG facility in Hattiesburg, MS is currently looking for an Assistant Clean Up  Technician. This important role is responsible for the safe, organized, and efficient blowdowns on all machines scheduled for weekly blowdown, while following standard work practices and Lean initiatives to meet target blowdown times.

 

 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

 
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work area throughout shift to ensure a safe and orderly work environment
  • Adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Utilizing thorough and efficient cleaning technique

What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:

 

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation function
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
  • Willing and able to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
  • Willing and able to work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals and other substances
  • At least six (6) months of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment

 

 

What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in a paper converting environment
