Georgia-Pacific is seeking a highly motivated IT professional specializing on the IBM DataCap platform providing development, project management, production support in a complex, high volume environment. You will work closely with the team and our business to develop and improve solutions that support the business, improve capabilities, eliminate waste and drive innovation. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of integration and mapping. Duties include troubleshooting, analysis, problem solving, development, and basic project management. Heavy internal interaction is required.


Location can be remote with travel to Atlanta, GA


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • A strong performer in this role will effectively apply our culture and MBM® management philosophy to advance key business initiatives. Capable of participating in, or leading, full life cycle projects to establish and support IBM Datacap solutions integrated within a complex multi-enterprise environment.
  • Share best practices and standards across the business enterprise and IT community
  • Deliver division and/or site level support for DataCap and associated systems
  • Provide expertise around data, data governance, data hierarchies, master data and reference data elements/definitions and data architecture.
  • Establish data architecture principles and data entity/relationship diagrams
  • Consult on data usage and architecture to support business requirements
  • Participate in design of data environment with focus on standardized data processes and governance, supporting standard enterprise foundation and sustainability of both processes and technology
  • Facilitate cross-functional issue resolution and integration with focus on value proposition and design criteria
  • Participate in governance and design workshops
  • Liaison with other business major transformation projects to identify data touchpoints and risks
  • Collaborate with PMO, data SMEs, business and IT leads to ensure delivery of project
  • Participate in technical specifications, build, and unit testing of solutions.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to create and execute strategies

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science 
  • At least 1  experience with:

    o    IBM Datacap 9.x or higher

    o    Visual Studio

    o    Desktop and Production scanning

    o    Installing software and drivers

    o    Email systems (Exchange, SMTP, MIME, IMAP, POP)

    o    Microsoft Office

    o    Active Directory / LDAP

    o    Graphics editing or principals of image file types

  • Amazon AWS EC2 and related
  • Network related technologies
