    We are seeking to add an Manager or Senior Manager of Analysis  depending on experience level, to our  Palatka Pulp & Paper finance team. This key role is located at our large integrated Towel and Tissue Mill in  Palatka, Florida. This position is in our North American Consumer Products Division reporting to the Mill Controller and is responsible for facility cost analysis, accounting, internal controls, product benchmarking analysis, and identification of value creation opportunities associated with the Pulp, Power, and Recovery processes at our Palatka, Florida facility.  In addition, this role will work collaboratively with their peers to identify and capture value across all of Palatka’s business units.


     
     

    A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

     

    This role is a key business support function for the facility.  The role creates value by supplying expertise in economic and critical thinking in order to make sound business decisions.  Success here requires the application of financial models, ability to perform valuation analysis, marginal analyses, identification of opportunities, and determining key variables that help to drive the business performance.  The ideal candidate must have the ability to work autonomously or in team settings and possess a high degree of creativity, resourcefulness, and a strong analytical background.   
     
     
    • Provide leadership for Mill operations and the Consumer Products Business through development of insightful financial analysis 
    • Contribute to the development and accuracy of product cost metrics 
    • Own the accuracy and integrity of Mill financial results and financial reporting 
    • Drive identification of cost improvement opportunities and development and monitor execution of action plans to capture those opportunities at the Mill  
    • Promote an environment of effective partnering with operations and business leadership to maximize value creation  
    • Partnering with our sister facilities to drive standardization across the system and to share knowledge base.
    • Decision support and analysis on capital investments.  
    • Provide financial input for annual planning process.  
    • Participate in internal financial control assessments and on-going monitoring; help identify and drive corrective actions.  
    • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations ensuring account balances are correct and adequately supported. 
    • Month end closing and reporting 

     

     

    What You Will Need:

     

    Basic Qualifications:

     

     

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Business  
    • At least 10 years of experience in an Accounting, Finance, Analysis or Strategy roles
    • Manufacturing experience
    • Previous experience as an individual contributor supporting a business or client  
    • Clearly understand integrated financial systems, complex accounting systems, database structure
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel – Including Advanced functions (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis, formula creation)
    • Experience developing financial models, scorecards, and key metrics  
    • Experience with financial techniques, including: Discounted Cash Flow modeling, NPV, ROI, IRR and/or other Business Valuation metrics  
    • Experience leading new initiatives, capital projects and new product developments  
    • Experience communicating with all levels of the organization (i.e., e-mail, verbally, reporting, presentations, and in group settings)  
       

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Prior Cost Accounting experience
    • Pulp & Paper Industry experience 

    • Pulping & Utilities analysis experience

    • Supervisory or leadership experience 

    • SAP (S4 Hana)

    • SQL/VBA, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
