About The Role:


The Consumer Business within Georgia-Pacific focuses on building iconic American brands with consumers, shoppers and retail customers and we strive to strengthen the Brand Building organization through the addition of experienced top talent to the Marketing Analytics team based in Atlanta, GA. You will be working on diverse and most exciting & challenging business problems.

 

The Brand Analytics capabilities are essential to our Consumer Business as they will enable us to provide frequent, rapid, holistic, data-driven and actionable insights and recommendations in the areas of brand building, ecommerce and innovation, by applying integrated descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, so that we can perform better experiments and/or make better decisions and, faster and with a higher level of confidence.

 

We are seeking a team lead in Marketing and Consumer Analytics supporting Livingware & Home Cleaning business. This person will lead all aspects of promotions and media analysis including the set-up, design, measurement and optimization of digital and mass media campaigns for all brands and will play an active role in influencing key business decisions. This role will be an integral member of the Marketing Analytics team and will report to the Director, Marketing and Consumer Analytics. This role may have 1-2 direct reports.



A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Initiate, lead and oversee the planning, development and activation of brand analytic programs across all brands, customer brands ecommerce and innovation. This includes the application of integrated, descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Provide frequent, rapid, holistic, data-driven and actionable insights, recommendations to support business decisions and experiments.
  • Outline measurement-, analytics- and tracking plans for our (customer) brand building, ecommerce and innovation efforts, including the data needed, analysis processes, tools, (new) quantitative models, reporting and visualization.
  • Continuously provide analytics that support the continuous optimization of our targeting, marketing, ecommerce and initiative executions, incl. audience segmentation, linear-, digital- and social media, search, coupons, shopper marketing & media, website optimization etc.
  • Closely collaborate with IT and Business Services on data, enterprise solutions, tools and processes and partner with other advanced analytical capabilities in the areas of pricing & merchandising, sales and supply chain.
  • Identify, hire and maintain key external partners to continuously improve our approaches and/or experiment with new ones.
  • Lead the Brand Analytics team, including the supervision of direct reports and hiring, training, retaining and progressing talent.
  • Typically spend 25-40% of time doing hands-on analysis and reporting, 50-70% of time on providing guidance on framing marketing tests and measuring investments, 10-20% of time mentoring and coaching analysts.  


What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • MBA, M.A. or M.S.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics or business intelligence
  • 3+ years in marketing and/or digital marketing
  • 3+ years in supervising and developing people
  • Experience with managing multiple work streams and projects.
  • Experience with building capabilities.
  • Familiarity with statistics and data mining techniques


What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.A., M.S. or PHD in business analytics, marketing analytics, data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, econometrics or other quantitative discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics or business intelligence
  • 3+ years of experience in media mix modeling, fractional marketing attribution and/or testing and optimizations of marketing campaigns
  • 3+ years in any data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, Qlik)
  • 3+ years in any analysis language (e.g. R, Python, SAS, MATLAB)
  • Exposure to ecommerce, search, social media and/or data-driven marketing
  • Experience with cognitive computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining and/or predictive analytics
  • Experience in the financial, insurance, travel and/or (on-line) retail industry.

  • Technical skills and knowledge to optimally lead the capabilities: - Hypothesis formation and data identification
  • Analytic modeling (statistics, software assisted segmentation, regression) and development of algorithms
  • Website analytics-, social media listening/analytics-, mobile-, app- app and/or advertising technology platforms
  • Multi-channel attribution- and marketing mix modeling
  • Testing- and experimentation methodologies (A/B, Multivariate etc)
  • Experience with common spreadsheet applications, editing databases, basic queries and data warehouses and data visualization (i.e. Hadoop, SQL, Tableau)
  • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
