Georgia-Pacific LLC is recruiting a Plant Controller to be a key member of the Packaging Segment and is responsible for the financial analysis, accounting and internal controls. This position will be based at Lebanon, OH corrugated sheet plant.  Lebanon is in southwestern Ohio and considered part of the Cincinnati Metro area – boasting its own symphony orchestra and chorus.  Georgia-Pacific LLC is one of the nation’s leading corrugated box manufacturers. We manufacture standard corrugated containers as well as many specialty-packaging products, (including double- and triple-wall boxes, bulk bins, water-resistant packaging, and high-finish and preprinted packaging for point-of-sale displays) for many industries.   • Support the Business Leaders by promoting an environment of effective partnering with operating and business management
  • Assist the business in maintaining strong Internal Financial Controls
  • Serve as the financial leader on the Lebanon OH plant, and help maximize value creation and enhance decision making
  • Provide leadership, talent development, and supervision of 2 direct reports
  • Seek out and identify innovation and process improvement opportunities
  • Support the Controllers vision and lead change 


What You Will Need:

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics
 Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of Accounting and/or Financial Analysis experience
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and overall accounting functions (General Ledger, AR, AP, Intercompany Transactions, Reconciliations, Month End Close, Inventory, etc.)
  • Fiduciary experience and oversight/knowledge of internal financial controls
  • Prior Leadership or Direct Supervisory experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel - spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data analysis/manipulation and formula creation, etc., Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint – presentation creation/editing)

What Will Put You Ahead:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accounting coursework that included Intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting
  • Previous Cost Accounting experience
  • Previous Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
  • Advanced/Expert level MS Excel skills
  • Ability to compile and manipulate large data sets and use BI and data analytics tools (e.g., using ACL, IDEA,  Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik sense, etc.)
  • Amtech, Infinium, Infor or other large ERP experience preferred
  • Experience with key financial concepts: variance analysis, product costing, inventory and capital investments
