The Project Manager works cross-functionally to establish and manage the project plan incorporating deliverables from several functional areas, including R&D, packaging, marketing and others.  We are looking for candidates who have a passion for project management and who are comfortable in a role where they influence and provide leadership without having direct authority.  The Project Manager is a “best practices consultant” to the project leader, suggesting to that person the most efficient path for project execution and applying relevant project management tools.  Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, operations or supply chain is preferred.


The Project Manager is also responsible for maintaining the project portfolio database for their portfolio of projects.  In addition, there is opportunity to participate in building tools and methods to improve the overall project management capability within GP Retail Towel and Napkin business
 
Additionally, the Project Manager organizes, prepares reports for and facilitates periodic portfolio reviews with key stakeholders. The Project Manager also facilitates gate reviews and post-launch assessments within projects.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Manages a portfolio of projects
  • Leads the planning and the tracking of projects
  • Leads the team in using project management best practices and tools
  • Facilitates defining project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Plans, schedules and monitors project tasks and timelines
  • Facilitates identifying and monitoring project risks and mitigation plans
  • Supports the project leader in managing project changes and interventions to achieve project objectives
  • Facilitates project evaluations and assessments of results
  • Facilitates portfolio & project reviews; Maintains and provides portfolio reports
  • Facilitates gate reviews within projects

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least three years of work experience in managing projects within marketing, category management, or brand management
  • PMP Certification or equivalent (Scrum, Agile, etc)

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3 years of experience in a Product Management role
  • Experience supporting projects in a product development environment
  • Experience working with cross functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Packaging, Product Supply, Manufacturing, Legal and others involved in new product development
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS SharePoint® configuration and/or MS Excel®
  • SAP PPM or Product Lifecycle management a plus
