This position will be based in our Corporate Headquarters,  managing Vendor Managed Inventory at customer’s distribution centers and also oversee direct-to-store and jobsite sales while identifying opportunities to position Georgia-Pacific Structural Panels as the “preferred supplier”, due to product mix and service level unsurpassed in the industry.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Develop seasonal, monthly and weekly forecasts,  manage customer product demand,  in-stock requirements, inventory replenishment and  analyze Point of Sale (POS) retail store data for use in demand planning and supply chain management

  • Manage store-direct pricing, orders and shipments

  • Create value by optimizing supply chain, logistics costs and provide ad hoc analysis

  • Work with mills in dealing with production fluctuations

  • Respond to customer inquiries for product information, availability, order status, pricing and invoice reconciliation

  • Manage key service/cost metrics and trends

  • Develop and execute weather related response plans.

  • Provide a point of view regarding current and future market trends

  • Identify and outline ways to simplify/improve/transform current processes creating greater value to GP and the customer


What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

 

 

  • Between 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management, account management, customer service, inside sales, business analyst, or equivalent

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite products: Word, Power Point with an emphasis on Excel

  • Willing and able to travel (fly and drive) up to 10%  

  • Strong business acumen, written and verbal communication, customer focus and detail orientation
     

 


What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in supply chain management, account management, customer service, inside sales or business analyst role
  • Forecasting experience
  • Ability to use large amounts of data to identify trends
  • Analytical and critical thinking/problem solving skills
