GP's North American Consumer Business is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst for our Grocery Business in Alpharetta, GA.  The Sr. Business Analyst will lead the team responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the reporting/tools that support the Grocery Channel sales teams.  This person will be responsible for providing analytical thought leadership and support for key and strategic imperatives that will help generate and maximize long term value.  Some key responsibilities may include:

 
Daily Business analysis, Initiative Scorecard development/tracking, Portfolio Strategy support, Customer specific reporting/analysis, New Item Product Set Up/Management, and Project Work.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Analytical Thought Leadership / Support: Providing analytical guidance and support for key and strategic initiatives, cross-functionally 
  • Grocery Business Reporting and Analysis:  Managing all daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting for the Grocery Channel sales teams
  • Scorecarding /Key Initiative Tracking: Owning all development, tracking and reporting against key initiatives
  • Portfolio Strategy Analytics through identifying data insights via primary research
  • Customer Specific Reporting/Analysis:  Management of business reporting for specific key customers
  • New Item Product Set Up:  Responsible for new item set up in customer portals and managing product transitions.
  • Project Work:  Ad Hoc Reporting based on business needs      


What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Consumer Packaged Goods business experience
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of progressive analytics work
  • Strong working knowledge of customer-specific and syndicated data
  • Advanced Excel, SharePoint, Tableau Skills and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
  • Experience working with large / strategic CPG organizations and retail customers
  • Ability to convert data analytics into useful insights that lead to actionable solutions

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of category management and syndicated data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication, listening, planning and organization skills
  • Possess strong financial acumen and economic thinking skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management (customer and internal).
  • Must effectively collaborate with internal support teams, demonstrating strategic thinking and customer focus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong overall business acumen and ability to act with the appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Present ideas and directions that lead others to action.
