If you're looking for your next career opportunity, Koch Fertilizer Dodge City LLC is a seeking a Chemist to join our Analytical Laboratory team. In this role, you will work to support various business groups by providing technical support for product quality, asset protection and utilization, processing, and innovation. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and can work independently.



A Day In The Life Typically Includes:



Plan and execute and/or supervise experiments and projects, interpret results, write protocols and reports, and present results, collect gas and liquid samples, interface independently with customers, gather information that is relevant to a chemical analysis problem and match with the proper procedures and instrumentation, be self-directed, be proficient on complex laboratory scientific instrumentation, be adept at developing new laboratory methods and applications, be able to evaluate new technology, provide solutions, and create methods of improving operations in support of Koch Fertilizer businesses.


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • Experience on complex laboratory scientific instrumentation such as: GC, UV-VIS, FT-IR
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand 75-100% of the time
  • Ability to visually observe lab tests
  • Ability to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to wear level A suit and full respiratory SCBA to gather samples
  • Possess Stewardship and Compliance to ensure testing results are communicated to ensure Air, Water and Personnel Safety



What Will Put You Ahead:

Preferred Qualifications:


  • ACS Certified Concentration Master's degree in Chemistry
  • Experience in Gas Chromatograph
  • Experience in a commercial analytical chemical laboratory
  • Ability to transform, grow and improve the methods of our onsite laboratory capability
  • Application of Principled Entrepreneurship
