Koch Fertilizer, LLC is seeking a Director, North America Truck Logistics to join their team. This position will require a strong leader that can develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the vision of the team.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Recruit, develop and lead a team of truck logistics employees to ensure the highest levels of capability and employee fulfillment

  • Understand key business strategies and direct the Transportation activities to support sales initiatives and achieve state business targets

  • Liaison between back office entities, logistics, and customers for issue and concern resolution

  • Manage day to day supply operations to facilities, internal and external

  • Provide new supply chain end to end design and competitive costing

  • Ensure pro-active tracking of shipments to meet customers required delivery dates

  • Ability to eliminate waste and identify and improve inefficiencies of internal and external procedures

  • Understanding of the logistical value chains and what sets price

  • Knowledge of customer base and what each customer values from a logistics perspective

  • Ability to build relationship across the entire spectrum of the business, i.e. trucking companies, customers and suppliers.

  • Interaction with external customer as necessary to maintain relationships and communication

A successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Proven experience in successively challenging managerial leadership positions

  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and risk management skills.

  • Capable of building and maintaining effective and trusting relationships

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • High energy and self-motivated, and confident of leading change

What You Will Need (Basic Qualifications):


  • 4+ years of experience in scheduling for truck, rail, or barge
  • Transportation industry knowledge and understanding of fundamentals of transportation modes
  • 2+ years’ proven leadership experience (i.e. direct reports or providing mentorship)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time


What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications):


  • 2+ years’ experience in at least one of three systems (EBS, OTM or Navigator)
  • Bachelor’s degree
