Koch Fertilizer, LLC. (KAES) is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven Instrumentation and Electrical Technician. This role reports to the Instrument & Electrical Supervisor and is responsible for the maintenance of Instrumentation and Electrical Equipment throughout the facility.

 

 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Perform preventative maintenance on control system components, instrumentation and electrical systems
  • Repair instrumentation and electrical devices while ensuring systems are compliant and maintain documentation of repairs
  • Identify instrumentation and electrical needs, including the design and installation
  • Troubleshoot and maintain other plant equipment
  • Support other maintenance activities, as well as additional duties as assigned
  • Perform preventative maintenance on control system components, instrumentation and electrical systems
  • Repair instrumentation and electrical devices while ensuring systems are compliant and maintain documentation of repairs
  • Identify instrumentation and electrical needs, including the design and installation
  • Troubleshoot and maintain other plant equipment
  • Support other maintenance activities, as well as additional duties as assigned


What You Will Need: (Basic Qualifications)

 

  • Proficient ability to calibrate, test, troubleshoot and install instrumentation and electrical equipment
  • Good understanding of safety procedures
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willing and able to respond to call outs and support a facility that runs 24/7
  • Willing and able to live within 1 hour away from the plant site
  • High School diploma/GED
 
Physical Requirements:
 
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, able to climb ladders
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Ability to work at heights in excess of 100 ft. 
  • Must be able to pass a pulmonary breathing test, wear a gas mask type respirator and full Level A PPE

 

 

 

 

What Will Put You Ahead: (Preferred Qualifications)

 

  • Previous experience working in a chemical plant or similar environment (ammonia plant experience a plus
  • 2 years of related commercial or industrial experience
  • Technical or Trade School degree from an accredited institution OR applied/relevant experience in instrumentation and/or electrical
