Koch Fertilizer, LLC (KAES) is seeking a Rail Logistics Scheduler to join our Fertilizer business. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and optimizing rail shipments, along with managing inventories to and from various plants and terminals throughout the United States while working on several online scheduling platforms. This role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for career development within our organization. The successful candidate will have a high sense of urgency, problem solving & critical/economic thinking skills, will be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task with a high attention to detail and be able to effectively manage their time. This roll will support our commercial business and strong interpersonal skills (both oral & written) will be key in developing those relationships.



A Day In The Life Typically Includes: 

  • Proactively engage with customers and suppliers to understand shipment timing and constraints
  • Actively engage with marketing to proactively develop sales/shipment strategies
  • Identifying strategies for fleet placement and timing
  • Manage shipment data flow in TMS and Oracle ERP.
  • Working to ensure proper freight invoice accruals and other accessorial charges related to shipments are in place
  • Building relationships with internal and external customers, carriers, plants, and terminals


What You Will Need: (Basic Qualifications)

  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Economics, Ag Business, Business, Accounting or Supply Chain


What Will Put You Ahead: (Preferred Qualifications)


  • Experience in Agriculture
  • Experience in or knowledge of the grain processing industry
  • Experience with logistics or grain merchandising
  • Accounting experience
