Koch Business Solutions (KBS) is looking for a skilled leader to join our team as we transform our global HR Services.  They will own the overall vendor relations strategy for a large global diverse portfolio of vendors in the HR shared service space. The successful candidate will apply their interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and business acumen to set strategies to optimize vendor performance.  They will implement processes to track, consolidate, leverage and hold vendors accountable to established service level agreements while ensuing the right processes, tools and practices are in place to realize the most value from these vendor partnerships.
This function optimizes HR services to the Koch enterprise in a high value, cost-effective manner within KBS. Plans, directs and controls all phases of supplier relationships.  Works with operational leaders to define ongoing vendor strategy and execute on that vision. The role will be responsible for leading relationships, as well as managing contracts and performance for key KBS vendors. The individual(s) will serve as the strategic point of contact for assigned vendors and will partner with internal operational vendor owners to serve as a point of escalation. Additionally, the function will work with all levels of the organization and across functional areas to ensure effective execution of vendor services.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Solicits vendor performance feedback from stakeholders and develop vendor roadmaps that drive strategic objectives and successful delivery of desired business outcomes.
  • Makes ongoing recommendations with respect to supplier needs through business and needs assessments, supplier assessments, and market/gap analysis. 
  • Ensures, monitors, and reports on supplier performance and metric measurements. Assists the business in developing corrective action plans.  May assists business with making recommendations to the supplier to improve performance. 
  • Manages quality reviews and metrics to ensure supplier compliance and quality service are meeting client objectives. 
  • Closely manages vendor contracts to mitigate risk and ensure successful vendor performance.
  • Consults with Koch Vendor Management to ensure proper selection and solid negotiations in order to maximize client value. 
  • Proactively establish and foster successful, positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially operational business owners and the vendor account executive. Drive engagement through formal and informal interactions.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years strategic relationship, program, and risk management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of technology or related vendor management experience
  • Experience managing cross functional global projects and/or teams
  • Developing and executing on global strategies
