Koch-Glitsch is seeking a 2nd Shift Die Technician/Operator to work at the Dallas, Texas location.
 
Position Summary
 
The 2nd shift Die Technician/Operator will perform troubleshooting and repair work as needed on progressive dies to keep them operational. Scope of work includes: operation of surface grinder, mills, lathe, etc. The successful candidate will also assist in working with operators as needed on stamping press issues as they arise. Please be advised that this position will train on 1st shift for several weeks before moving to 2nd shift.
 
Work Experience / Skills Required
 
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working on/with stamping dies/tooling
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing problem solving skills related to stamping dies
  • Previous experience reading die drawings and details
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and constructively communicate
  • Safety-oriented
Education/ Work Experience / Skills Preferred
 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience operating a forklift
 
 
Physical Demands / Unusual Working Conditions
  • Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and work for up 12 hours in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility
  • Willing to work overtime as necessary
