We are currently searching for a talented individual that shares our corporate values and beliefs to fill an immediate full-time requirement in our Uxbridge, Ontario facility.
 
Lead Hand, Shipping
 
Duties & Responsibilities –
  • Embrace Koch MBM® Guiding Principles and EH&S compliance requirements
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives
  • Support by example our proactive safety culture
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the shipping department and update Quality Manager regularly
  • Schedule work and assign jobs to shippers for all shifts
  • Make crates and complete crating of orders.  Ensure work is carried out free of defects
  • Load trucks when required
  • Prepare all required documents and ensure the information pertaining to orders is updated in the system per ISO procedures.
 The ideal candidate has the following experiences and qualifications:
  • Minimum of two to three years’ experience within a shipping department
  • Strong English communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Read drawings and layouts of fabricated parts
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary software
  • Required to safely operator a fork lifts and lifting equipment
  • Experience with making crates and crating equipment parts an asset
