The successful candidate will assist in developing industrial boiler system design standards and software tools to support the Coen business in the areas of sales, project execution, and service/startup.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Generate detailed thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer calculations as needed to support the business.

  • Review end-user application requirements, size vendor equipment, and generate vendor component specification forms for new opportunities and sold orders. Typical equipment scope includes boilers, deaerators, feedwater pumps, economizers, etc.
  • Generate engineering sizing and component selection standards for boiler systems
  • Provide scope and project risk/complexity assessments for new potential projects.
  • Review project drawings for functionality and correctness.
  • Travel to jobsites to support startup/troubleshooting of boiler equipment.
  • Test new technology and design concepts in the Tulsa test center.


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • 2 or more years of engineering experience in the Boiler Industry

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex engineering problems
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent (STEM degree)
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE at customer job sites
