We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Koch Audit and Advisory team. This position will provide support across Koch Audit and Advisory and Compliance and Ethics.


Attributes of a successful candidate:

  •  Technical Skills: use programs or software to mine data sources and find trends and insights in data
  • Analytical Skills: attention to detail and able to determine what data trends mean including being able to translate data into knowledge
  • Data Visual Skills: use programs and software to clean data and create visuals (dashboards) that allow managers and business partners to interpret and interact with data insights
  • Communication Skills: able to communicate insights to auditors or management, ability to communicate with auditors and management to understand project needs and goals
  • Problem-Solving: demonstrated problem solving skills and critical thinking skills
  • Project/Time Management: work on projects independently or on teams and manage multiple deadlines
  • Creativity/proactivity: Proactively identify opportunities for improvements related to SharePoint use, data analysis, and use of new technology (creating new dashboards, updating technology for the group, task automation, Robotic Process Automation)

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Proactively identifying and improving data management, governance, and analysis, where it can improve audit effectiveness and/or reduce costs
  • Leveraging audit findings and events in Enablon software to identify risks and trends that may help scope and plan audits more effectively
  • Proactively creating and experimenting with new ways to view data and present visuals to audit managers
  • Internalizing learnings or insights from historical data shared by multiple audit groups  
  • Developing and maintaining key management reporting and metrics including ad-hoc reporting and research projects
  • Reviewing expenses for multiple cost centers to identify trends. Identify and remediate outliers and errors.  Improved projection accuracy.
  • Supporting on ad-hoc advisory projects with data analytics, highlighting key insights.
  • Manage and maintain audit plans and SharePoint site for audit and advisory activity
  • Monitoring emerging technology that could benefit the team while continuing to leverage current technologies (automation, SharePoint, Office 365)

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, Statistics, Information Systems OR a Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst or comparable analyst position handling large, complex data
  • Advanced Microsoft® Excel skills, such as Visual Basic / macros / advanced formula
  • Not eligible for Visa Sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience administering cloud repository sites, including permissions
  • Experience working with data and analyzing data to draw conclusions
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools
  • Automation experience (Microsoft Flow, Automation Anywhere, Excel Macros, Python, etc.)
  • Data science degree or experience
  • 1-2 years of data analysis and/or process improvement experience
