Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC, is a shared-services company that provides legal, government and public affairs services to affiliates of Koch Industries, Inc. around the world.

The Arlington, VA based Legal team has an opportunity for one Intern who will be dedicated to the Political Compliance team. These positions will also provide support to the Deputy General Counsel, Political Law and VP Public Policy and political compliance/technology teams. These positions are a great opportunity for someone looking to grow and develop within the political compliance area.


A successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Entrepreneurial with the ability to shift seamlessly between various tasks during the course of the day
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and basic arithmetic skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to succeed in both team projects as well as independently



A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Assist with political law projects OR public policy projects
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities e.g. travel logistics, phones, and light calendaring for the Deputy General Counsel, Political Law and Public Policy, and the DC Legal team
  • Legal and compliance-related research
  • Develop, maintain, and improve databases and educational tools
  • Attend conferences and meetings on behalf of staff and represent the company in a professional manner

What You Will Need (Basic Qualifications):


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (working knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree or will have completed by December 2018
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week Monday- Friday
  • Ability to work a January-May internship
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
  • Ability to work in the U.S without sponsorship now or in the future



What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications):


  • Paralegal experience in any capacity
