This internship will run from approximately September - December. This is a full-time internship.


Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC, is a shared-services company that provides legal, government and public affairs services to affiliates of Koch Industries, Inc. around the world. 


The Arlington, VA based Legal team has an opportunity for a Political Compliance Intern. This position will also offer support to the Public Policy team and the Deputy General Counsel, Political Law and VP Public Policy. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow and develop within the political law or public policy area.

 

A successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and basic arithmetic skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to succeed in both team projects as well as independently

 

A Day In The Life May Include:
  • Assist with political law projects OR assist with public policy projects
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities e.g. travel logistics, phones, and light calendaring for the Deputy General Counsel, Political Law & Public Policy and the VA Legal team
  • Legal and policy-related research
  • Develop, maintain, and improve databases and educational tools
  • Attend conferences and meetings on behalf of staff and represent the company in a professional manner

What You Will Need:

  • Working toward or completed a Bachelor’s degree by December 2018
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (working knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week Monday- Friday
  • Ability to work a September - December internship.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
  • Ability to work in the U.S without sponsorship now or in the future
