Koch Sulfur Products Company, LLC is looking for an Analyst Co-op to join our team in Wichita, KS. The Analyst Co-op will partner with commercial groups, traders and logistics professionals to understand how trading decisions are made. Other responsibilities will include model development to form trading strategies that will directly impact trading decisions and researching the effects of economic forces on commodity markets.

  • Gather and maintain data that drives trading decisions.
  • Develop models explaining how commodity markets develop/change.
  • Gain insight from internal customers and peers to challenge current trading strategies and develop new ones, as necessary.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate Attributes:
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Highly collaborative across multi-functional teams and business partners.
  • Ability to analyze and frame data. 
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel (to include mapping function and pivot tables).
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, MIS, or Mathematics.
  • Completion of at least 6 hours of Economics coursework.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to begin employment in June 2017 & continue through Fall 2017.
  • Willingness to work part-time with the potential for a full-time schedule.
  • Experience in statistical analysis.
  • More than 6 hours of economics coursework.
  • Experience with Eviews.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary work: mostly sitting with occasional walking and standing
  • Repetitive typing for extended periods of time
