Program Eligibility, Participation and Definitions Bonus Eligibility

Guidelines for Candidates

For the purpose of the employee referral bonus, a bonus eligible candidate is defined as an individual, who is referred by an existing Koch company employee and who:

  1. Has applied for a bonus eligible position(s) on the Kochcareers.com website through the link sent to them from the referring employee; and
  2. Has met the basic qualifications for the eligible position(s).

The following individuals are not considered bonus eligible candidates for purposes of these guidelines:

  1. Individuals currently or previously employed with a Koch company or its affiliates within the twelve (12) months preceding the referral submission date;
  2. Individuals who have been referred by a third party agency within the six (6) months preceding the referral submission date;

  1. Individuals who are currently providing services to the hiring Koch company as a consultant, independent contractor, employee of a leasing or temporary agency or an employee of a contractor or consulting company.

If you have questions on eligibility, please contact your HR team.

Bonus Eligible Referring Employee

The following individuals are not considered bonus eligible referring employees:

  1. Koch company Senior Leaders, including Senior Site Leaders;
  2. Human Resources employees whose regular, recurring jobs include the selection, sourcing or recruitment of employees; and
  3. Selecting Manager and/or Supervisor or other persons directly associated with the selection of the candidate.

The system will allow the referral of a particular candidate only once per requisition. It will however allow employees to forward links. The referral will be connected when a candidate uses the referral link, regardless of when it is sent. The eligibility will last for 6 months and be tied to any requisition that candidate applies to in that period. If other employees refer the same candidate for different requisitions the referral ownership still applies to the first employee that submitted that candidate for the entire 6-month period.

If you have questions on eligibility please contact your HR team.

Referral Bonus Amount and Payout

Referral bonus amounts will vary by role, and will be subject to all applicable taxes. Referral bonus eligible roles are specifically listed in the Koch Companies Employee Career Center.

Referral bonus payout will be paid to the eligible referring employee after the referred candidate is successfully employed with the company for 90 calendar days.

A referral bonus will not be paid to the referring employee if either the referring employee or the referred candidate separate from the company within 90 calendar days of the referred candidate’s start date.

If you have questions on bonus payouts, please contact your HR team.

The Koch Companies Employee Career Center allows employees to send a link to apply directly in and email or text, or through LinkedIn, FaceBook, or Twitter.

The Koch Companies Employee Career Center will automatically notify the referring employee if the candidate applies through their referral link.

The referring employee will be able to review status updates for their referred candidate(s) from the “My Jobpage“, under the “My Referrals” section of the Koch Companies Employee Career Center.

Additional questions regarding the status of the referral may be directed to the respective Koch Company Human Resource Department. The recruiter’s name assigned to the requisition will be part of the job description posted online at the Koch Companies Employee Career Center.

The referring employee will be notified by the new hire’s HR/Selection team when the referred candidate has successfully begun employment with the company.

Employee referral incentives may be modified or discontinued at any time at the sole discretion of the Company and without prior notice.

These guidelines do not alter any employee’s at-will employment status.
