This position is responsible for achieving the Sales Effectiveness Vision through the Acosta Sales Agency by leading and delivering in the areas of Sales execution, trade management, profitability and compliance.  The Sales territory includes National responsibility for the Supervalu account, SpartanNash in Grand Rapids and the Schnucks account in St. Louis.   This position will have short term P&L and long term value creation responsibility.


A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Acosta Business Managers to deliver sales and market share growth objectives.
  • Provide leadership in business planning with the (5) Acosta Business Managers in the assigned territory with responsibility for trade and volume forecasting accuracy
  • Participation in key account business reviews, category line reviews and new item presentations.
    Drive business results through collaborative strategic account planning as well as in-period management.
  • Ensure Sales Agency compliance with all trade management, deduction management and record retention policies.
  • Working with the Sales Agency to improve retail distribution conditions, POG improvements and compliance.
  • Create value by establishing a strong presence for G-P’s consumer business at the retailers in these markets through relationships and customer wiring.
What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least 5 years of CPG Sales or Agency Management within a CPG environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word).
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed
