About The Role
 
The Consumer Retail Business within Georgia-Pacific focuses on building iconic American brands with consumers, shoppers and retail customers.  The Pricing & Marketing Analytics Capability is positioned to support key demand-driving decisions across the all our brands, and we are looking to add experienced top talent specifically to the Marketing Analytics team (aka Business Analytics, Advanced Analytics) based in Atlanta, GA. You will be working on diverse and most exciting & challenging business problems.
 
The Marketing Analytics team is essential to our Consumer Business as it provides rapid, holistic, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations in the areas of brand building, media, ecommerce, and innovation.  The team does this be applying integrated descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, so that we can perform better experiments and/or make better decisions and do so faster and with a higher level of confidence.
 
We are specifically seeking an individual contributor for the Marketing Analytics team who will provide analytics supporting our eCommerce and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) sales channels.  This individual will partner closely with business leaders to develop experiments, inform tactics, and drive profitable growth.  This role will report to the Sr. Manager, eCommerce & DTC Analytics.
 
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
 
- Provide rapid, holistic, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to support business decisions and experiments.
- Outline measurement, analytics, and tracking plans for our eCommerce and DTC initiatives, including the data needed, analysis processes, tools/quantitative models, reporting and visualization.
- Provide analytics that support the continuous optimization of our targeting, marketing, and initiative executions, including audience segmentation, linear, digital and social media, search, coupons, shopper marketing, website optimization, etc.
- Closely collaborate with IT and Business Services to develop scalable data solutions, tools and processes.
- Be a thought partner to our internal and external customers (brand teams, pricing, sales, supply chain, retailers) to understand their vision and priorities as well as to recognize implications and develop holistic recommendations.
- Exhibit principled entrepreneurship by challenging the status-quo and proposing new techniques, approaches, and data sources to improve the quality of our insights and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA, M.A., M.S. in business analytics, marketing analytics, data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, econometrics or other quantitative discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics or business intelligence
  • Experience with eCommerce, search, social media and/or data-driven marketing
  • Experience in marketing and/or digital marketing
  • Exposure to media mix modeling, fractional marketing attribution and/or testing and optimizations of marketing campaigns
  • Experience with cognitive computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining and/or predictive analytics
  • Experience in the financial, insurance, travel and/or (on-line) retail industry

  • Technical skills and knowledge to lead the analysis process, including hypothesis formation and data identification, as well as familiarity with
  • Analytic modeling (statistics, software assisted segmentation, regression) and development of algorithms
  • Website analytics, social media listening/analytics, and/or advertising technology platforms
  • Multi-channel attribution and marketing mix modeling
  • Testing and experimentation methodologies (A/B, Multivariate etc.)
  • Common spreadsheet and database applications as well as data visualization (e.g. Excel, SQL, Hadoop, Tableau)
