John Zink Hamworthy Combustion is seeking a motivated and self-driven Applications / Sales Engineer to join our team in Tulsa, OK or Sacramento, CA. 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Design combustion solutions and prepare customer proposals focused on boiler-burner systems
  • Frequent in-person sales presentations and site visits aimed at winning opportunities and developing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers and end-users

  • Develop strategies with regional reps to generate sales opportunities

  • Coordinate with other teams and disciplines within the organization to identify and develop selling strategies and process improvements

  • Work with contracts group to negotiate terms that meet customer's expectations while adhering to company policies

  • Communicate with the Order Execution team and customer through completion of won opportunities to ensure a positive customer experience

  • Prepare effectively for project KO meetings and efficiently handover projects according to Company's procedures

  • Keep SFDC records up to date and meet Company's best practice metrics

  • Assist order execution team with potential project execution issues until its completion

  • Provide input to Lost Order Lessons Learned (LOLL) process to identify root causes for orders lost and determine corrective actions that can be taken to improve order closure

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in applications and sales
  • Burner and/or Combustion experience
  • Salesforce and CPQ experience
