We are currently seeking an Associate Customer Planning Manager  for the team in Atlanta, GA. The Associate Manager will assist in customer development, working closely with the Field Sales teams and the Brand teams to drive objective alignment between GP and our customers, ultimately creating long term value.  This position reports directly into the Sr Director – Customer Planning.



Responsibilities:


Customer Price & Trade Strategy:

  • Assist with the customer planning process helping sales teams drive sales, revenue and profit through an efficient use of trade and shopper marketing funds.  
  • Work closely with Field Sales utilizing strong analytical skills to maximize the return of the trade fund program.
  • Support brand initiatives through the development phase by providing sales point of view and the execution phase by implementing plans with customers and tracking results.
  • Subject matter expert for responsible channels, gathering and sharing knowledge to drive optimal market execution.
  • Continuously monitor market pricing and promotional activity to support and develop current and future strategies.
  • Leverage syndicated data (IRI) and internal measures to conduct analysis of key business opportunities and make sound recommendations.

Customer Engagement:

  • Represent the customer within GP to ensure knowledge & awareness of strategies, objectives & expectations.
  • Provide competitive and customer updates to both the sales teams as well as the category business teams.
  • Work with Sales & Customer Investment teams to assist in sales & operations planning process.

Expectations:

  • Utilize MBM framework & related tools to drive long term value through Principled Entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Support foundation of MBM culture through learning & application of key concepts.

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 1 year of customer planning, trade marketing and/or account management experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods company
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Previous experience with trade investment ROI
  • Experience with IRI and/or Nielsen syndicated data

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong economic & critical thinking skills
  • Possesses strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Works well independently while managing multiple projects.
  • Adept at working cross functionally with multiple areas of responsibility within the business.
  • Proven ability to operate in a changing work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and focus with an appropriate sense of urgency.
