Koch Heat Transfer is seeking an Business Systems Analyst at our headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Koch Heat Transfer is hiring a Business Systems Analyst who connects with the business to develop and maintain strong working relationships, internalize business strategies, and optimize value capture while supporting digital transformation. We are looking for an individual with strong solution development and IT project management skills. The successful candidate must have good critical thinking skills, self-starter and be willing to stretch themselves both within IT and outside of the IT environment.
This job requires an experienced Business Systems Analysts who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, lead others, drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, customer focus, and the ability to embrace change. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, can efficiently multi-task, has superior communication skills, and the ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
The person in this role will report to the CIO/President.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Lead the IT capability for Koch Heat Transfer.
  • Analyze business IT systems, identify key requirements, and validate systems to ensure they meet the needs of internal customers. 
  • Develop plans and objectives for the Koch Heat Transfer IT capability in order to improve quality of offerings, reduce costs, and position for growth.
  • Partner with the business to align and find opportunities to integrate technology and deliver value added solutions.
  • Participate in systems implementation projects (i.e. requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation and execution, issue identification and resolution).
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of the ERP system and identify key business requirements.
  • Manage project scope by thoroughly understanding the business culture, environment and people.
  • Plan, prioritize, and deliver systems enhancements.
  • Support and upgrade implemented systems.
  • Understand enterprise software needs and match those needs with the best available products.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and applications – Innovation is a key priority.
  • Manage IT compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Lead, follow and embrace all the Safety Procedures.
  • Understand and apply Koch’s Market-Based Management® and MBM Guiding Principles.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least seven years of working experience in IT.
  • At least seven years of working experience with IT solution development
  • At least five years of Project Management (Internal & External Consultants)
  • At least five years working with clients in a Manufacturing Environment
  • At least five years of SQL Server
  • At least five years of modern development platforms, such as .Net, C++, C
  • At least one year of experience with Office 365 Suite
  • Willing to travel 10% (domestic and some Canadian Travel)

What Will Put You Ahead?

  • Experience with INFOR LN / VISIBILITY ERP Systems.
  • Experience with MS SharePoint Development.
  • Experience with Microsoft Developer Certifications (MCPD, MCSD or MCAD).
  • Experience with Web Development.
  • Proven track record of enabling business outcome through the application of technology.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and data analytics concepts.
