John Zink is looking for a Construction Project Manager!

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Providing leadership and direction to achieve the project vision through management commitment and employee ownership on John Zink Field Construction projects domestically and internationally
  • Manage and coordinate with all team members on greenfield and/or brownfield industrial / mechanical construction projects
  • Manage 6-8 projects in the $1-10M range using industry best practices in setting business objectives, developing scope and scope control, developing and integration of team members, project controls, front end loading, and effective communication to accomplish company objectives.
  • Interact with the client project management, John Zink equipment project management, vendors, contractors and/or construction team to ensure project expectations and requirements are met or exceeded
  • Reads and interprets drawings, specifications and assures that work is constructed as per the client’s / engineer’s design intent
  • Recommend and develop ways to strengthen and enhance the John Zink standard of construction
  • Leads by example, directs the work of others and ensures customer focus throughout the project’s entirety
  • Learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/provincial and federal/national consensus codes and standards, statues and guidelines
  • Represents John Zink in a positive and proactive manner, responding to concerns and complaints in a thorough and timely manner
  • This role is not open to visa sponsorship.

What You Will Need:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or relevant engineering discipline or 5 years of Construction Management experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with field construction or project management
  • Three (3) or more years of experience of direct interaction with on-site clients
  • Three (3) or more years of experience sourcing & managing qualified resources throughout pre-construction, construction and post-construction
  • Three (3) or more years of experience developing and maintaining project controls
  • Experience managing 6-8 projects at one time in various stages
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer focus
  • Strong EH&S and Quality commitment
  • Strong computer to skills for communication and project controls 

What Will Put You Ahead?

  • Ten (10) or more years of project management experience in a heavy industrial, petroleum-chemical, or LNG construction turnkey environment
  • Three (3) or more years of experience working in a specific craft (i.e. piping, welding, civil)
  • PMP Certification or be able to obtain
  • Intimately familiar with a variety of the field’s turnkey concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Intimately familiar user of business software applications: Microsoft Office, Scheduling Software’s and Bluebeam,
