Continuous Improvement Manager – (Home based)

Georgia-Pacific’s Corrugated Division is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our Manufacturing Excellence team. This role will utilize leadership, influence, operations experience and communication abilities to analyze and identify change improvement opportunities related to people, process, and systems across multiple GP Corrugated facilities.  They will work with project team members and site team members in developing Computer Based Training and helping to rollout digital transformation for improving processes and employee knowledge: Management Systems; Organization; Production; and Asset Care.  Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to coach several levels of leadership at all levels within the organization. Continuous Improvement Manager’s will influence long-term profitability through innovation with the implementation of MBM® Culture and Strategic Platforms. The position will be home-based and requires up to 75% travel during week days.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver value results in an industrial, manufacturing, or operational environment
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills to include establishing rapport, careful listening, building trust, overcoming barriers, and coaching a diverse range of customers
  • Shop floor experience in the application of optimization processes and tools
  • Demonstrated project management skills that deliver intended scope on-time and within budget
  • Demonstrated capability in organizational behavior and change management
  • Project management capability for effective prioritizing, managing time, and appropriately escalating issues
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with key capabilities at customer sites
  • Facilitation experience with FMEAs, RCAs, value stream mapping, or similar processes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to generate ideas with ability to coordinate resources for implementation towards a successful outcome


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or economics OR equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Video editing and Production of Computer Based Trainings
  • Prior experience with effectively developing, influencing, and successfully executing significant change initiatives
  • Willing and able to travel domestically at least 75% of the time (primary travel will be to the east coast region)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, business, or economics OR equivalent work experience
  • Experience developing Computer Based Trainings
  • Corrugated or Containerboard manufacturing operations leadership experience
