Plant/Cost Accountant

INVISTA is currently looking for an experienced Plant (Cost) Accountant to join our Wichita, KS US Regional Accounting Team.  We are looking for candidates that possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Perform cost accounting activities in compliance with financial, regulatory, and INVISTA accounting policies and guidelines
  • Manage the cost accounting processes within our SAP accounting systems
  • Ensure monthly closing procedures are accomplished with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Proactively identify and implement internal controls, financial systems and process improvements
  • Resolve issues that affect transactional accounting and/or financial reporting accuracy
  • Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel (spreadsheet creation/ editing, pivot tables, formulas use, etc.), PowerPoint (presentation creation/editing), and Word (creating and modifying documents and tables)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestic and foreign primarily to INVISTA sites in Brazil, Texas, and Virginia
  Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • Experience with Accounting in an ERP environment or similar system.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
