Electrical Assembler - Norwich, New York


Chentronics LLC is looking for an Electrical Assembler in Norwich, NY.

The Electronic Assemblers are responsible for general assembly of electronic products and harnesses. They are familiar with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection, various soldering techniques and hand tools and mechanical measuring devices.  This may include heavy soldering irons, gas torches for seam soldering and silver soldering, or cutting ceramics.  Responsibilities include in process inspection of electrical sub-assemblies and components, including accurate record keeping. Must be able to work with limited supervision. It is a fast paced and lively environment, as you deal with urgent information.  Your contributions are a key element to increasing velocity and achieving on-time performance. This role is not open to visa sponsorship.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

You will be responsible for assembly of exciters, harnesses, and subassemblies to safely complete a final product, according to documentation requirements with velocity and high reliability. This may involve cutting, soldering, brazing, and fitting parts into subassemblies. In process inspection and accurate record keeping are also required.

 

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

 

What Will Put You Ahead?

  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with soldering
  • Experience reading and following assembly drawings


Physical Demands or Unusual Working Conditions:

  • Walking, standing, stooping, crouching. Some heavy lifting may be required (up to 50 lbs.) 
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Working in industrial environment
