We are hiring an Electrical Technician for our Georgia-Pacific Oriented Strand Board facility located in Hosford, FL., thirty (30) miles east of Tallahassee, Fl. The Electrical Technician creates value by troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems on the manufacturing equipment in order to ensure the facility is operating a its highest capacity.  Electricians also perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliability of electrical components in order to meet the facility's goals for quality and production.  Our Electricians demonstrate critical thinking skills and work as a team to ensure a safe and productive working environment.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Troubleshooting, repair and maintain control systems (PLC's, HMI's and VFD's)
  • Read assembly drawings, schematics and equipment layouts
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and replace control devices
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems in an industrial environment
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures


 


What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two (2) years of electrical experience e in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing PLC's, HMI's, networking and variable frequency drives
  • Experience troubleshooting process equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.)
  • Experience with basic computer skills (excel, word, power point)
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
  • Willing and able to wear the necessary PPE (personal protection equipment i.e. hardhats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, hearing protection, safety shoes and other PPE required for specific jobs)
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours per day


 


 


What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) year technical degree or higher in industrial electrical maintenance or electrical engineering
  • Working knowledge of industrial test equipment with troubleshooting and electrical skills
  • Experience reading blueprints
  • Knowledge of ControlLogix, Device Net , Wonderware, Ethernet
  • Experience with 480 volt motors
