Electrician – Coos Bay, OR

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a safety-oriented individual to join our team as an Electrician in Coos Bay, OR. This position is an experienced skilled crafts role that creates value by performing a variety of maintenance duties, ensuring maximum facility uptime to meet production goals.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems
  • Performing preventative maintenance according to a structured scheduling system
  • Wiring, troubleshooting and repairing heavy industrial electrical and mechanical equipment

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Oregon Electrical Journeyman License at time of application
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a Plant Electrician with direct repair and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and machine electrical systems
  • Experience working with PLC’s
  • Experience reading technical schematics/blueprints  
  • Willing and able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when required
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, noisy, dusty manufacturing environment
  • Willing and able to adhere to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
