John Zink Hamworthy Combustion (JZHC) seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The role has several diverse responsibilities, but all are structured to give experience and training vital for career advancement. By successfully meeting these challenging duties, the Financial Analyst will provide value to the business. The Financial Analyst is expected to seek out opportunities to create value by building relationships with business partners, streamlining processes, enhancing internal financial controls, leveraging technology and resources to increase quality of financial transactions, non-financial data and reporting.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes

  • Develop cost and profitability analysis and forecasts for business partners
  • Create and modify financial reports
  • Assist in the monthly close by ensuring transactions are recorded properly
  • Create and maintain global and regional business reports
  • Present financial results to business partners
  • Provide system support, set up and training
  • Deliver accurate and timely services for Tax, Audit, International Trade Compliance, Governmental, and ad-hoc requests at the corporate and division level
  • Drive innovation – Support the finance team by automating processes and tasks, while leveraging different technology


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years’ experience in an Accounting or Analysis role
  • Experience with GAAP and overall accounting functions (GL, AR, AP, Inventory, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of intercompany transactions, and month end closing
  • Desire for building business relationships throughout the organization
  • Aptitude and passion for learning new systems and improving processes through automation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation etc., and Access-query)
  • Experience working with data analytics and/or visual data tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI or similar)
  • Ability to learn specific advanced topics as necessary
  • Clear, concise communication skills
  • High energy levels to encourage and motivate team members in value creation
  • Excellent analytical skills, data management and reporting capability
  • Consistent, sustainable work and learning ethic
  • Desire to advance one's career through knowledge and goals


What Will Put You Ahead:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accounting coursework that includes Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, or Advanced Accounting
  • Previous system implementation or system upgrade experience
  • Experience as an Accountant or Analyst in a manufacturing environment
  • Skilled in building queries for data analysis
