Georgia-Pacific Chemicals (GPC) has an immediate need for a Formulation Scientist to work in our research and development environment to identify, develop, scale up and commercialize innovative chemical solutions for the coatings industry for GPC and INVISTA.  We are seeking a creative and inventive individual who can formulate, apply and evaluate new chemistries into novel coating, adhesive, sealant, and elastomer (CASE) products of value to our customers.  The successful candidate will work effectively with representatives from various functions (i.e. Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, etc.).

As upstream chemical manufacturers we are seeking to understand CASE problems to invest in, and also how to demonstrate potential market solutions. As sister companies of Koch Industries, GPC and INVISTA are teaming up to build this capability to create valuable solutions for our customers, and their customers.

As an entrepreneur and formulator, you will play a key role from invention to commercialization. You will deploy expert technical and market knowledge to evaluate, develop and commercialize opportunities and establish win-win partnerships from supplier to formulator to consumer.  You will conduct comparative testing of prototypes in base formulations, convert lab data into technical claims and support marketing and commercial (customer-facing) activities.
