INVISTA is seeking a Human Resource Generalist for our Orange, TX manufacturing facility.  This is a challenging, yet exciting opportunity to be responsible for and influence the human resource activities and programs at a large manufacturing facility.  As a key member of the HR team, reporting to the Plant HR Manager, you will develop and implement initiatives that align with site strategies and our Market Based Management culture.
The successful candidate should have:
  • Experience driving culture change.
  • Ability to work independently while handling multiple projects.
  • Strong coaching, counseling, training and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong planning, organization and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication capability.    


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Work with business and operations to provide HR Generalist support including compensation reviews, recruitment, employee relations, talent planning, etc. based on the vision and strategies of the site.
  • Build supervisor capability and reinforce accountability in the areas of talent, leadership and culture.
  • Lead and guide performance management activities with a passion for developing talent and building organizational capability.
  • Investigate questions and/or concerns to resolve employee relations concerns by understanding the true root cause and developing a plan to resolve the root cause.
  • Drive innovation in HR functions and processes.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years employee relations experience such as counseling and advising supervisors and employees, facilitating and resolving strategies for workplace issues, corrective and disciplinary action planning.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR Generalist experience.
  • Experience in MS Office Software (MS Word – document creation/editing, Excel – spreadsheet creation/editing, data entry and analysis, and PowerPoint – presentation creation/editing). 



What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Experience with analyzing data and make recommendations to management.   
  • Previous HR Generalist experience in chemical or petrochemical industry.
