We are seeking to add a Lead Analyst  to the team that supports our North American Consumer Products Division at our large integrated towel and tissue mill in Crossett, AR.   An Analysis role with us is responsible for cost analysis and related accounting functions, identification of value creation opportunities and ad-hoc requests.  You will be a member of a solid financial team that report to the Mill Controller. This role will provide a wide variety of experience and exposure to multiple product categories here at GP, in addition to the opportunity to learn from all levels of management.  Our work environment is fast paced with a focus on innovation and change therefore the ideal candidate will need to possess a high degree of creativity and resourcefulness.  The candidate will also have demonstrated an understanding of financial analysis, financial controls and cost accounting, as well as data mining capability with finance and reporting tools such as Excel and Tableau.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Perform financial closing procedures, variance analysis, and balance sheet account analysis
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting
  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, cost review packages, variance analysis, and other supplemental reports
  • Obtain a solid working knowledge of the primary drivers of operations and their impact on financial performance
  • Coordinate financial control self-assessments and self-audits of adherence to required minimum required control standards, drive corrective actions
  • Participate in the forecasting and planning processes
  • Maintain product costing models and participate in annual standards setting process
  • Identifying key business trends through benchmarking, KPI tracking and analysis 


What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:


  • Completed a Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
  • At least 7 years of Accounting and/or Analysis experience
  • Able to work in the US without sponsorship
  • General understanding of overall accounting functions (GL, AR, AP, Cost, Inventory, etc.)
  • Practical understanding of intercompany transactions, and month end closing
  • Conceptual understanding of the design and purpose of internal controls
  • Aptitude and desire for learning new systems and improving processes through innovation and automation
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel – spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation etc., MS PowerPoint – presentation creation/editing)

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior Cost Accounting experience
  • Experience with SPECS or other product costing tools
  • Data Mining skills or experience
  • Experience with any/all of the following: variance analysis, balance sheet account analysis, benchmarking, KPI tracking, capital projects, budgeting, forecasting, planning, financial reporting
  • Experience in SAP, Excel macros, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
  • Experience in a Manufacturing and/or Consumer Products environment
