Logistics Analyst


Our Georgia-Pacific Cellulose facility in Perry, FL is looking for an experienced, motivated and self-directed Logistics Analyst.  The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a multi-tasker and a team player and will drive process improvements within the role and the department.


The Foley mill, which has been in operation since 1954, has the capability to produce over 460,000 tons of Dissolving, Specialty and Fluff cellulose each year.  Our fluff pulp is delivered to customers worldwide for a variety of high-end uses & converting technologies, including clothing, tires, shampoo, diapers, filters & towels.  Perry, Florida is approximately 50 miles outside of Tallahassee - Florida’s state capitol and home to Florida State and Florida A&M Universities!  It is also within short driving distance of several beautiful Gulf Coast sand beaches and an easy adventure to St. George’s Island for some fresh seafood and boating!

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Work closely with vendors and Finishing Teams regarding the availability and quality of packaging material
  • Assist with the vendor selection and qualification 
  • Order, receive, track useage, inventory and forecast needs for all packaging material for mill and mill-managed warehouses
  • Adjust packaging material orders with vendors based on the mill production schedules
  • Work with Accounting and Procurement to ensure accuracy of packaging material receipts and payments, and reconcile month end inventories
  • Enter purchasing requisitions and ensure invoices are approved in a timely manner
  • Complete monthly spending reports and resolve invoices issues
  • Perform as the Quality System Document Coordinator for Finishing and Logistics; enter new documents into the quality system and update existing documents
  • Provide backup support for Logistics Inventory Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator
  • Responsible for Records Information & Retention schedule for the module


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • An Associate degree in Accounting OR a minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting or logistics in a manufacturing or military environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience budgeting, costing, and utilizing accounting skills for invoicing, inventory and month end closing processes
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory accounting


What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, or Management

  • Five (5) years of experience in accounting or logistics within a manufacturing environment

  • Three (3) years of experience working with logistics software packages

  • One (1) year of experience supporting export operations, with the ability to document and support export related costs
