A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining sawmill equipment for improved reliability and uptime
  • Assisting coworkers with mechanical and/or electrical repairs
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of industrial electrician experience
  • Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Willing and able to provide your own basic hand tools
  • Willing and able to work 12 hour shifts
  • Willing and able to work any shift, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
  • Experience laying out and running conduit
  • Willing and able to communicate daily work performed and machine conditions via written, verbal and computer documentation
  • Electrical controls troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with motor control systems

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controls (PLCs)
  • At least five (5) years of Industrial Electrical experience
  • Knowledge of electrical concepts on saw mill equipment
  • Associates degree or higher in Industrial Electricity/Electronics
  • Experience working with variable frequency drives and servo drives
