Maintenance Technicians (Robotics) – Leominster MA
Georgia-Pacific’s Leominster, MA facility uses state of the art technology to manufacture Dixie® cutlery.   Are you a technical person who is interested and capable of maintaining large scale automation for product handling and packaging? If so, then we are interested in learning about you!
Georgia-Pacific’s Dixie® facility in Leominster, MA is looking for Maintenance Technicians with a focus on Robotics. Maintenance Technicians create value by working as a team to ensure the safe operation of automation systems and injection molding machines to create a quality product. We are willing to train those with a mechanical baseline to support our automation systems.
These positions will be paired with a day or night production shift of 12 hours and will have approximately 180 scheduled work days per year.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Working with the operations team to keep automation systems and robotic components available to meet safety, quality, and production goals
  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance on automation systems, robotic components, molding machines, and support equipment
  • Repairing and adjusting sensors, pickup locations, vacuum systems, parts carriers, and transfer/loading systems
  • Working in a team environment to prioritize emergency repairs with the needs of the organization

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and with limited oversight
  • Willing and able to speak, read, and write English
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics experience
  • Ability to interpret electrical control drawings
  • Experience troubleshooting sensors/instrumentation
  • Systematic troubleshooting experience
  • Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime
  • Willing and able to work a twelve (12) hour work schedule working up to three (3) days in a row
  • Willing and able to perform intermittent day shift training
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment and Lockout standards
  • Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds


What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automation programming experience
  • One (1) year or more of robotics/automation experience for setup and maintaining equipment
  • Ability to identify faults in operating systems
  • Experience with Siemens controls, SEW servo motors, Festo controls and cylinders, and Kuka robot experience
  • Experience with glue and taping systems
  • Injection molding experience to include machine, mold, and controls maintenance on high volume production lines
  • Work request and work order management experience such as MAXIMO, MP2, or SAP
