Georgia-Pacific LLC is looking for a Manufacturing Analyst to support our growth in the Packaging Business.  The position is based in the Memphis, TN area. 

As a Manufacturing Analyst, you will spend your time in the following areas:
  • Work with stakeholders and manufacturing data to gain operational insights and drive actions.
  • Understanding the business culture, environment, people, processes, and systems.
  • Focus on data acquisition, data integration and transformation, and distribution of data across the business.
  • Inject innovative ideas to influence a growing data driven culture.
  • Utilize application management best practices and data warehousing architectures to drive value and improve operational efficiencies. 
  • Manage data quality and ensure accurate system output. 
  • Work with stakeholders to identify future system opportunities and enhancements.
  • Keep existing systems healthy; support/troubleshoot processing and design enhanced functionality in existing applications.
  • Act as a liaison between the business, application, and technical teams; ensure application and technical solutions being developed meet the needs of the business. 
  • Provide production support during work hours and after hours as assigned.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Connecting with operations to develop and maintain strong working relationships, internalizing business strategies, and optimizing value capture while supporting digital transformation
  • Working with operations and business to define project vision, strategy and develop the business case (Venture Summary) on a project initiative.
  • Manage/troubleshoot/grow day-to-day MES systems and databases to ensure reliability
  • Driving project deliverables by maintaining, executing, and evaluating project plans
  • Working with users to collect requirements for new applications that automate and optimize processes and translating those requirements into application features and collaborate with IT professionals to develop, enhance, and support these requirements.
  • Working with the business and operations to develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases that will be used to ensure application changes meet functional and non-functional requirements
  • Performing functional and non-functional testing prior to the launch of product enhancements and troubleshooting application issues
  • Working with the business and operations to develop a strategy that will be used to improve the likelihood of end user adoption of new applications and major system changes
  • Working with the business and operations to ensure training plans and training materials will be developed for end users on new systems and enhancements
  • Managing day-to-day customer communications and service desk tickets
  • Keeping up with current trends by researching and experimenting with new technologies and software products
  • Sharing knowledge and experiences with members of the organization

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years experience in an Analyst role
  • SQL Experience
  • Experience with O365 suite
  • Understanding Software design, and basic programming
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call 24x7 support schedule

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • OSIsoft PI experience
  • Data Analytics experience (Power BI/Tableau/SSRS/Crystal Reports)
  • SharePoint Management/Design/Development
