KMS is seeking a talented, energetic individual to provide technical leadership to support daily operations and drive improvements.  The selected individual will be a hardworking with solid technical skills and will work well with a wide array of people.



  • Day-to-day engineering support of manufacturing.  Helping manufacturing achieve safety, quality, efficiency and throughput goals.

  • Detect problems early and develop actions to prevent safety, quality, cost or delivery problems.

  • Gather and analyze production data. 

  • Perform experiments as needed to develop process understanding to support data-driven decisions to improve the operation.

  • Share new knowledge so that the capability of the organization increases. 

  • Independently evaluate existing equipment, methods, processes, and procedures.  Identify opportunities to improve safety, product quality, and cost.

  • Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. 

  • Must be able to interact constructively across the whole organization including machine operators, production supervisors, maintenance, engineering, R&D, sales and management.

  • Implement concepts from R&D and other senior technical experts.

  • Hands-on support of new product and new process launch.

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and multiple priorities simultaneously.




  • Coating and/or membrane manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Technical curiosity.

  • Desire to drive improvements. Strong interpersonal skills, strategic business perspective, system thinking capability and analytical/problem solving skills.

  • Results oriented with the capability of balancing multiple tasks and priorities.



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing.

  • Engineering degree required, chemical engineering preferred.

  • Functional knowledge of process control, (SPC, control charts, checklists)
