Koch Methanol, LLC is seeking a Methanol Scheduler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing movements within North America; maximizing optionality and utilization to reduce cost while meeting customer needs. 

Koch Methanol, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, LLC. Methanol is a critical feedstock for numerous Koch companies, and Koch Methanol provides sourcing, logistics, risk management, and optimization for its internal affiliate companies. In addition, Koch Methanol services an external customer base and trades in the global marketplace.  Koch Methanol brings a disciplined, strategic approach to trading that emphasizes market analysis and centers on knowledge systems and customer relationships.  Koch Methanol looks to grow Koch Industries’ presence in the global methanol industry. 
 

Methanol is a chemical used in the manufacturing process of numerous consumer products used every day – from polyester carpet fibers to paper products, paints, plywood, windshield washer fluid, plastics and more. It is an essential commodity and a vital part of the global economy.  The current global demand for methanol is approximately 80 million metric tons per year and forecasted to grow significantly in the coming years with new applications developing.

 


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


In this role, the candidate is expected to:  Provide accurate and efficient order management; Forecast and manage shipments of methanol to customers and understand shipment timing and supply chain constraints; Analyze and lead opportunities to optimize position; Communicate, coordinate, and execute demand forecasts across multiple functions and roles (both internally and externally);  Execute transactions within the information system tools;  Resolve invoice and accounting discrepancies with customers and suppliers in a timely manner;  Forecast, manage and reconcile inventory levels at multiple locations;  Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure a high level of satisfaction in working with Koch Methanol.

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a commodity marketing, trading, logistics, or supply chain role
  • Proficient in using Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365, etc.)
  • Willing and able to work outside of standard working hours
  • High School Diploma or GED

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in bulk rail, truck or general fleet management
  • Experience with profit & loss statements, income statements and balance sheets
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Prior experience in scheduling or executing physical product movements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management or accounting
  • Strong Excel skills including Power BI integration
