Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is seeking a Middle East Technical Sales Representative.  This position is located the headquarter location in Atlanta, GA.  Georgia-Pacific Gypsum LP,  an indirectly  owned subsidiary of Georgia-Pacific LLC,  is a leading North American manufacturer of gypsum wallboard. The principal objective of this position is to promote the sales of our unique and innovative line of glass-mat faced gypsum board in the Middle East. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and cultivating profitable business relationships with distributors, developers/owners, contracting and subcontracting firms, spec writers and architects who specify and purchase our products from our distributors.  This individual will be expected to drive sales volume by tracking key commercial projects to ensure that GP products are specified and converted to final sales. The primary function of this position will be identifying and developing strong relationships with the key product influencers in each of the target markets within the region.  This position reports to the Director of Export. 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

 

  • Leads technical sales efforts of the premium glass-mat faced gypsum line of products in the Middle East
  • Maintains and builds relationships with key decision makers including developers, general contractors, subcontractors, architects and specifiers to secure the use of our products on relevant construction projects in the region
  • Develops region specific sales and marketing strategies that will ensure continued growth in the region such as coordinating technical training events with distributors, installers and architects
  • Works closely with the Atlanta based product management and marketing team to assist in developing technical marketing tools specific to Middle Eastern regional needs and requirements
  • Collects, organizes, maintains and updates country specific client databases utilizing a CRM tool to further marketing and sales objectives
  • Actively participates and helps develop the divisional strategy for the Middle East by providing key insights and perspectives
  • Directs the development, management and implementation of marketing and promotional activities specific to the Middle Eastern drywall market

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree or foreign degree equivalent in architecture or civil/structural engineering
  • A minimum of two years of successful technical sales experience in construction and/or building materials
  • Fluency in English & Arabic with ability to read, write, and speak
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office platform (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50% internationally (Middle East)
  • Experience in construction or building materials in Middle Eastern markets


 

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Prior experience in the drywall industry and lightweight steel framed wall systems
  • Sales experience and technical expertise in drywall systems
  • Proficiency in CAD, REVIT, Sketch Up and presentation software
  • Ability to use CRM tools such as Salesforce
