Printing Tender – Darlington SC

Georgia-Pacific is searching for Printing Tender. This positon is for our Dixie® Cups department. In this role you will be responsible for safely operating our printing press, while leading the team to ensure a quality product is being made. A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
 
  • Ensuring safe, efficient, and stable operation of the printing process to meet all established plant, department, and area goals
  • Operating, troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing the printing press
  • Leading and participating in press startups, set ups, and changeovers
  • Leading and participating in press clean up
  • Reading and understanding printing efficiency summaries along with completing all log and production sheets
  • Inspecting production and equipment to determine the need for adjustments based on quality, production and process standards
  • Performing and assisting with training
     
    What You Will Need:
    Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years or more of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing personal protective equipment
  • Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
  • Willing and able to work in a hot/humid, cold and noisy industrial environment 
  • Willing and able to work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals and other substances
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Experience operating industrial printing equipment
  • FIRST Operator Certification
