Production Planner/Scheduler
Georgia-Pacific, SPG in Hattiesburg, MS is looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler.  A Production Planner/Scheduler creates and executes machine production schedules to support the business’ demand and optimize efficient changeovers. A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
  • Creates and executes finite machine production schedules
  • Ensures production plans are communicated
  • Works closely with Supply Chain Manager and Operations to make sure there is adequate coverage for set production schedule
  • Works through any issues and alerts Operations of changes with sufficient notice
  • Updates production schedule as product is produced and production runs are added
  • Updates production run dates in SAP to maintain accurate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data
  • Orders materials to support the planned production on assigned assets
  • Manages material management, to include the confirmation of in-house or on time delivery of materials
  • Works with vendors and/or Receiving to move raw material inbound loads to meet production schedule
  • Leads the raw material and finished goods cycle counts
  • Compiles customer specific inventory reports upon request
What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Obtained or completing a bachelor’s degree or higher within the next 3 months in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience in Microsoft Word (to write business correspondence), Excel (for use of spreadsheets, reporting, simple formulas) and Outlook (for internal and external correspondence)
  • Ability to communicate, written and verbal, with all levels within the organization
What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in production planning and/or scheduling
  • Production Planning experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using an MRP system
