A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

 
 
  • Taking initiative to execute projects and troubleshooting independently or with limited supervision

  • Designing and conducting testing and trials by creating experimental plans and collaborating with others for feedback

  • Performing routine testing and product development

  • Working safely and collaboratively in a high-performance, fast-paced research and development environment to include interaction with cross-functional teams

  • Providing written technical reports and lab test summaries, as required

  • Possessing meticulous attention to detail, good problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Independently managing calendar and priorities to maximize value and results

  • Possessing strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously

  • Leading safety best practices and good laboratory techniques

  • Learning and using pertinent cellulose chemistry principles

 
 

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or Natural Science

  • Internship or work experience in science related lab environment

  • Willing and able to lift up to 30 pounds

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours to include overtime, evenings, weekends, and holiday as business requires

  • Willing and able to travel an average 25% of the time as travel may flex based on business needs

     
What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

 


  • Master’s degree in Chemistry or Natural Science-related field
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience working in a R&D, lab, or manufacturing process environment

  • Experience in method development and wet chemistry skills

  • Experience and exposure learning and using pertinent cellulose chemistry principles

  • Experience working and/or troubleshooting industrial equipment using mechanical aptitude and principles

  • Knowledge of lab safety best practices

  • Knowledge in basic statistics

  • Knowledge of cellulose chemistry
