Koch Membrane Systems (KMS) is seeking an experienced, results-oriented Sales Manager for our Food and Beverage Business segment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering, Food/Food and Beverage Sciences, or Business/Marketing and a proven track record of increasing sales and market share in a highly technical environment. This position requires strong intrapersonal and communication skills to work with multiple internal and external audiences. The role requires an ability to develop strategies to generate growth.  Candidates should have a technological understanding of food and ingredient manufacturing processes, membrane filtration processes, experience selling capital equipment and replacement parts, the drive to become an industry expert, and the desire to learn how our technology benefits customers.   



  • Develop and execute a business development strategy for the food industry.
  • Promote KMS’s technology and application knowledge for process applications in the food market. 
  • Must have strong business development skills and possess the ability to navigate complex accounts, identifying and closing new opportunities.  Ability to formulate and execute a sales plan is required.
  • Increase revenue and profitability for KMS through sales of Hollow Fiber, Spiral Wound and Tubular membrane elements and capital equipment systems to existing and new customers.   

Specific deliverables include:

  • Identifying growth applications for membrane processes in food applications.
  • Monthly progress updates / reviews through reports and CRM system.
  • Developing and executing a strategic plan for growth, including understanding of product needs, channels to market and overall marketing strategy.
  • Working closely with our Product Management and Process Teams to develop packaged solutions for the food industry.
  • Actively engaging with industry experts and associations to become a well-known player within different food and beverage markets. 
  • Represent Koch Membrane Systems at industry trade shows.
  • Managing/Evaluating representative network. 


To qualify for this position you need to possess the following minimum experience and skills: 

  • Understanding of equipment and processes in Food and Beverage industry. 

  • 5+ years of Sales, Process/Applications and/or Service experience in the Food Industry

  • Frequent travel to Customer sites which may require being on the road a significant amount (50%) of the time. 


  • Must be a true “hunter” and possess the ability to develop new business in different regions and markets.

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Food/Food and Beverage Sciences preferred.   Business/Marketing with industry experience will be considered.  

  • Ability and willingness to work closely with our industry experts to bring that knowledge to our customers.

  • Energetic and dynamic personality with excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Separation processes experience a plus. 

    • Plant operating experience in the food or beverage industry would be an asset.

    • Previous experience selling capital equipment into food, beverage, or ingredient manufacturing is a plus.


Compensation will be commensurate with experience and capabilities. Relocation will not be available at this time.



Training will be held at the Corporate Headquarters offices located in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
