We are seeking a Senior Commercial Business Analyst to join our group in Atlanta, GA at our beautiful Downtown HQ and LEED® Gold certified building.  GP Corrugated is at an exciting moment where we are building up our Commercial Excellence capabilities. This individual will support the Commercial and Revenue Management Teams for the Corrugated business. The role requires dual focus of building out analytical tools and determining processes required to enable Revenue Management transformation.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
Key Responsibilities:   
Design streamlined future state work flow processes related to Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) to enable Revenue Management team to centrally manage transactional pricing activities (quoting, price changes etc.)
  • Engages directly with current teams to document current state process maps and procedures, including current roles and responsibilities of individuals
  • Develops an understanding of capabilities of new software being installed for CPQ purposes; understands its advantages and disadvantages in context of future state vision
  • Creates and documents future state work flows incorporating any technological enhancements (e.g. CRM, new CPQ system etc.) that enables the future state vision of the organization; thinks end-to-end from sales rep engagement to recording feedback from customer on win/loss for the issued quote
  • Defines break points as to where Customer Service handles orders vs. handling centrally
  • Define controls to manage processes (e.g. access to systems, standardized sales form etc.)
  • Understands how changes to new processes will impact Roles and Responsibilities. Helps define updated responsibilities for individuals impacted by changes
Partners with Revenue Manager and capability leadership to build and keep up-to-date knowledge systems and analytical tools that can be scaled across GP Corrugated business areas. Includes working with IT and external consultants to develop and maintain tools.
  • Build, maintain and enhance Customer and item profitability tools (Low Margin Account Review, Low Productivity item review, etc.)
  • Build, maintain and enhance Regional and National Account costing and price quote tools
  • Develop dynamic reporting in partnership with the Finance team to support Sales Team at both the Local and National level
  • Experiment/review best in class tools that can improve Commercial Excellence capability
  • Manage communications with internal and external IT resources relative to knowledge system and tool development
  • Understands existing tools and reports, and develops training and manuals to assist local revenue managers, sales managers, general managers be more effective in their jobs

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • At least 4 years of experience developing tools and processes

  • Experience documenting and mapping processes and work procedures

  • Experience extracting data using SQL queries

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel – Including Advanced functions (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis, formula creation, and working with macros)

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and MS PowerPoint (presentation creation, editing, delivery)

  • Must be able to travel domestically up to 15% (including overnight travel)

  • Overall Self-Awareness and Understanding of how personal behavior impacts others


What Will Put You Ahead?

  • Bachelor Degree or Higher in Finance, Business, Engineering or Quantitative field
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience working with data and visual analytics tools such as: Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience with programming languages such as: Python, SQL, R
