Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a Senior Category Manager/Category Manager for the SafeHaven™ Hand Hygiene Compliance business team in Atlanta, GA.  Reporting to a Category Director or Director- Innovation, the successful candidate will use their general management skills and leadership capabilities to play an active role in development and implementation of business vision and strategies for a new venture at the intersection of devices and software services.  As a member of the business team, this position works closely with a wide range of capability partners, including sales, marketing, research & development, supply chain, operations, finance, pricing/portfolio strategy and others to deliver against key priorities.



A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Wearing many different hats and functioning as an entrepreneur managing a startup business
  • Brainstorming creative ways to grow sales and outlining tactical steps/requirements to execute these
  • Developing and manage a repeatable customer quote-to-close process
  • Deploying value-based sales content using traditional and digital channels
  • Providing healthcare sales training and support
  • Collaborating with sales leadership on sales and distribution strategy
  • Implementing a service deployment process and scaling plan 
  • Actively managing pilot and sale implementations as needed
  • Developing a customer success model for post implementation support 
  • Forecasting device and refill sales and work with planning / operations to ensure availability
  • Supporting development of long-term product roadmap
  • Executing against identified plan and engaging capabilities as needed

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to articulate a better state for product / service offerings and iterate to develop new ways of working
  • Process oriented thinking with the ability to build a timeline and manage resources to complete tasks 
  • Willingness to learn new skills in support of business objectives
  • Familiarity with healthcare segment group purchasing organizations and distribution
  • Deep desire to understand the end user and serve their needs 
  • Tolerance for ambiguity
  • Hypothesis driven individual who quickly develops strategies and tactics based on limited information and structures simple experiments to execute and iterate

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3 years of business, marketing, sales or product management experience
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing projects
  • Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience with software & database technology 
  • Connected device or software experience
  • Experience working in the Business to Business Healthcare Segment
  • Experience working on early stage business ventures or complex new product introductions
